NO SUMMER EVENTS PLANNED
ELCA EVENT CAMP CAROLINA FURNACE WILL TAKE
PLACE DURING THE SUMMER.
Some of our Youth will be attending. A good time will be had
by all. It will be fun to go to Western Virginia and meet new
friends (fellow Lutherans) and do all the fun summer activities.

LUTHER LEAGUE
Under the leadership of youth
sponsors, the youth
of the congregation meet monthly to plan events both
local and statewide.
The youth strive to meet four objectives:
Fun - Rock Climbing, Ice Skating, Skiing, Camping and
Hiking.
Support - They help feed to Homeless, volunteer at Luther
Manor (HUD Assisted Living), Yard
Work & Community
Service.
Study - Confirmation Class, Sunday School & Synodical
Retreats.
Worship - Acolytes Service, Chimers, Youth Choir and
Youth Service Day.
Winter Celebration - 2008 - Skiing and lots of winter fun.

CHILDRENS' SUNDAY SCHOOL
Every Sunday from September to June the children of the
Church meet at 9:45 am for Sunday Church School.
Classes from Preschool thru High School use the Firelight
Curriculum provided by Augsburg Fortress Press.
They begin the year in September with a Rally Day celebration
and picnic.
The Youth participate in an Easter Egg Hunt on the Lawn on
Easter Sunday. Easter egg hunt was held in April after
church for all children sunday school age.....A basket will be
provided for each child. A fun time is planned for all.
